What is Mobilegeddon?
Google changed its algorithm so that websites that are both mobile-friendly and popular will be appear at the top of search results on mobile devices. Ways your site would be considered not mobile friendly: the text is too small, the load time is too long, or graphics are heavy and hard to navigate.
How long before the change affects me?
Although the change officially rolled out Tuesday, April 21, it could be weeks before the changes take effect Google said.
What’s the big deal?
According to research, only 38% of businesses have mobile-friendly sites, while at least 86% of all smartphone users America use Google via their phones. That means the majority of businesses will be missing out on a large piece of the pie.
