Compucast Awarded N.O. Bar Association’s Fleur de Lis Award
A Letter from the Executive Director of the New Orleans Bar Association…
Dear Judy:
Shortly after Hurricane Katrina, the New Orleans Bar Association began a new bar year while mourning our losses and facing tremendous uncertainty about the future of our city. With your unwavering support during this period, we were able to accomplish our goal of demonstrating the viability of New Orleans and preserving the rule of law during this period.
Our Annual Meeting in November was a cause for thanks and celebration at which time we recognized those people and organizations who helped us in our rebuilding efforts. Our president, Carmelite Bertaut, was pleased to award you the Fleur de Lis Award for your steadfast support during our recovery.
The fleur de lis was always the symbol of New Orleans and now has become a meaningful symbol of hope and recovery for all New Orleanians. For us at the New Orleans Bar Assocation, the three plumes of the fleur de lis represent faith, honor and justice, three qualities it took to remain steadfastly beside us.
Thank you for being our “Fleur de Lis”.
With sincere appreciation,
Helena N. Henderson
Executive Director
