Today is Cinco de Mayo, and we hope everyone out there has a great day – especially if you’re celebrating in some way!
Meanwhile, we’ll also be hard at work making great websites. Some of our recent creations include sites for the Japanese restaurant Sake Cafe as well as New Orleans heart surgeon Dr. John Pigott’s website.
Additionally, we recently re-launched the Bombay Club after redesigning their site.
Once again, happy Cinco de Mayo!

Compucast is looking forward to celebrating Tourism in New Orleans as we attend and support the National Tourism Week Luncheon on May 12 at the Morial Convention Center. Did you realize that the taxes from tourism related businesses make up 1/3 of the City’s operating budget?
In addition to filling a whole table, we will also participate as an Exhibitor showcasing not only our recent website designs but also promoting the online global marketing that we do for the City of New Orleans.
If you are at the National Tourism Week Lunch, be sure to stop by our table and register to win some great prizes!

Now you can see what’s “in the mix” each and every day… from the sites we launch, to the inside jokes, to our (hopefully) growing friends list.
You can find it all here.
Hey, if you found it on our blog, you are already interested.

We couldn’t have had a better Mardi Gras season here at Compucast.
To start out, we had the absolute pleasure of sampling the legendary king cakes at Cannata’s King Cakes. Throughout the days after, we advised several news and media crews during their stay here in the Crescent City.
When it was time for the parades to roll, we made sure to catch the fun go by at Michaul’s and the balcony at the Royal Sonesta. Be sure to catch our photos and fun (read more…)

During Katrina, many public services were destroyed or out of commission. During that time, many people’s websites were down – due to the fact that their sites were hosted on servers based in the city of New Orleans. However, Compucast wasn’t down – due to a disaster preparedness plan and quick action.
As a result of the experiences during that time, Judy Weitz (Compucast CEO) will be teaching others what they can do to be more prepared during a catastrophe – to ensure their businesses stay running smoothly! Judy will offer her first-hand expertise (read more…)

On Sunday, October 19th, 2008, members of the Compucast crew set out to St. Francisville for a sold out Angola Rodeo show.
At the rodeo, we perused the various arts and crafts for sale, sampled some of the tasty fair food, and of course, enjoyed ourselves while watching bull riding, horse riding, comedic acts, and who can forget – monkeys riding on the backs of dogs!
Filling up an entire row, we had great seats, directly across from all of the action. With our significant others, friends and children along for the ride, the Compucast team enjoyed yet another “bonding” experience.
And, due to some outlandish traffic, it took us all nearly SEVEN HOURS to get back to the Crescent City!
One things for sure: When Compucast goes out, there’s always a story.

Compucast had the pleasure this week of having a private martini party at Sweet Fire & Ice.
If you’ve never visited the ice bar at this establishment, we suggest you check it out. While there, make sure to grab a comfy seat by the fire pit – which on Tuesday was taken over by our team.
The Compucast crew and their significant others bonded over an array of unique martini blends and mixed drinks, while sampling the chicken, spinach dip, and lots of other food that was passed around.
At Compucast, we feel that it is important to incorporate team building events whenever possible, and what better way to do so than by frequenting one of our newest client’s establishments!
Stay tuned for more updates on the ins and outs here at the company…. we assure you, it’s always something!

One of the greatest things about living in New Orleans is the abundance of celebrations and events. Being a New Orleans based company, Compucast sees each and every event as a chance to celebrate our heritage and come together as a team. What better way to work together to promote New Orleans than to actually take part in all its glory?
This year, our team celebrated Independence Day with true New Orleans grace and style.
Each year, the Riverfront Marketing Group throws its annual “Go 4th on the River” Fourth of July Event. If you have never heard of it, (read more…)

Judy Weitz, owner of Compucast Interactive, was featured in the recent article in Southern Hospitality Magazine, “Making the Most of Your Website”, by April Chapman Thomas.
“Because more and more people have internet access and are using the Web to make their travel decisions, hotels and restaurants can no longer consider their websites as merely online billboards. These sites should always have current information and be interactive, allowing visitors to reserve online,” noted Judy Weitz of Compucast (www.compucast.com) in New Orleans, La. Compucast has designed websites and provided online marketing services for a variety of hotels, restaurants, attractions and eventsthat include Royal Sonesta, Harrah’s Casino, French Quarter Festivals, etc. (read more…)
