Compucast Team Judy Weitz, 5th generation New Orleanian Chief Executive Officer
Judy has been designing, maintaining and marketing web sites for businesses since the company was founded in 1994. An active member of numerous internet and hospitality-related organizations, her continued study of the ever-changing field of internet marketing has led to her being a speaker on the subject for universities, visiting conventions, and on behalf of the Louisiana Travel Promotion Association and New Orleans Chamber of Commerce. Recent awards include Small Business Champion for 2006 for the State of Louisiana and finalist for the 2007 Women Business Owner of the Year for the National Assocation of Women Business Owners.
Programming Team
Our team of programmers built one of the first World Wide Web servers in the early 1990s, and have a combined total of over 30 years of experience in the field of Computer Technology. Our programmers include a faculty member at the University of North Florida's College of Computer and Information Sciences and a Ph.D. in the field. They have been programming custom interactive solutions for our clients since 1996. Two examples are the employment database for the Greater New Orleans Hotel and Lodging Association (GNOHLA.com) and the reservations engine for 50 hotels (BestNewOrleansHotels.com).
Director of Programming / Systems Analyst Cliff Addy
Cliff is a devoted member of the Compucast team. A one-time programmer for NASA, he built one of the first World Wide Web servers in the early 1990s while working as a faculty member at the University of North Florida's College of Computer and Information Sciences. This project led him to see the commercial possibilities of the World Wide Web.
Since 1996, he has been a full-time member of our team, programming interactive solutions for Compucast and its clients. The reservations engine he worked with us to provide is now used for over 50 hotels in the New Orleans area, and includes unique features such as auto-generated comment cards. The employment engine he was instrumental in helping us create is now free to the hospitality industry, developed in cooperation with the Greater New Orleans Hotel and Lodging Association.
Cliff has 25 years of general programming experience and 14 years experience developing Internet applications. His experience also includes multiple programming languages and operating environments. He has a Master's Degree in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems. Programming/Technical Support Jim Sander
Jim has been with Compucast since 1998. Advanced education in Computer Science, he provides custom programming solutions to our clients, helping them establish dynamic and interactive sites on the web. He also provides continuing technical support for all aspects of our clients’ web sites, including email addresses and statistical reporting.
Creative Team
Our creative team has been designing web sites since the early 90s. Our experience includes work in Silicon Valley where the future of the internet was born, as well as project consultants for national media such as the Food Network and HGTV. The Compucast team of designers now provide a wealth of creative talent for flash programming, web site design, and marketing CDs. Our eye for design combined with our continuing education in the field of design technology ensure our clients are professionally represented to the public, and that updates and changes are made accurately and promptly. In addition to the listed designers, we also work with three additional designers with over 25 years combined experience in web design, brand marketing, logo development, and flash. Thomas has been involved in internet design since the early 90s when he worked in Silicon Valley. A project consultant for national media such as the Food Network and HGTV, Thomas now provides his creative talent to the flash, php programming and design used for Compucast's web sites and marketing CDs. Kerri, a Tulane graduate with a degree in Web Site Development, is a recent addition to the Compucast team. Throughout college, she worked with local web design companies and provided web site services to New Orleans area businesses. In addition to her ability to create web sites with an eye for detail, she also brings her experience in digital photography to the Compucast team.
Director of Finance Ruth Garcia
Ruth's 16 years of experience as the Vice President of Finance at the New Orleans CVB combined with her eye for detail make her a uniquely valuable member of our team. She handles all aspects of our account management, including statistical reporting for our clients.
Director of Marketing & Public Relations Bobbi Mannino
Bobbi brings with her over 30 years of experience in the tourism industry of New Orleans including 10 years as a client of Compucast (while Director of Marketing at the Steamboat Natchez and Director of Sales at Harrah's Casino New Orleans). Retired from Harrah's, she is now a valuable addition to Compucast Web. Her enthusiasm for the results we bring our clients ... combined with her stellar reputation in the hospitality community of Louisiana where she continues to be actively involved ... make her an excellent addition to our team.
Systems Engineer Andrew Leblanc
Andrew has 14 years of experience as a computer consultant in the New Orleans area and is an acknowledged expert in the computer science field. His specialties include Networking and computer technical support. If you're having trouble with your computer, we like to say…"if he can't do it, it can't be done!"
Technical Support/Founder Marc Weitz
Marc was the founder of ExperienceNewOrleans.com…the site from which Compucast grew. His vision of the future of the internet compelled him to spend days studying code when most of us did not have a computer. Computer Consultant Matthew Weitz
Matthew, LSU graduate in 2004, has helped Compucast since his high school days at Jesuit High School (when he helped maintain the first website for Jesuit designed by Compucast). He was the only LSU student selected to work for the Laser Interferometer Gravitational Wave Observatory (LIGO) where his work with others programming to find gravitational waves was published. Now an engineer on the programming team for the Navy's Peoplesoft Project, he continues to be a tremendous asset to the Compucast team as our programming consultant.
