Compucast and the JEDCO Entrepreneur Challenge

Posted on: January 10 2014

Entrepreneurs, pay attention. The Jefferson Parish Economic Development Commission (JEDCO) is now accepting applications for their second annual Entrepreneur Challenge, a business idea competition. The startup company or entrepreneur with the winning pitch will receive a grand prize of $20,000 or more (they’re still collecting prizes) in cash and donated professional services.

Compucast is proud to use its small business entrepreneur experience to help judge and advise the contestants in this year's competition.  We'll also be giving the winner 45 hours of professional website design as part of the grand prize.

"We're excited to be a part of the JEDCO Challenge," said Judy Weitz, Compucast CEO.  "We know that there are a lot of talented up-and-coming entrepreneurs in the New Orleans community, so we're looking forward to seeing what they pitch this year."

JEDCO says the Challenge provides local entrepreneurs with a platform in Jefferson Parish to showcase their early-stage ventures. Entrepreneurs who make it through the selection process will have an opportunity to pitch their idea to the Jefferson Parish business community during Idea Village’s New Orleans Entrepreneur Week (NOEW).
