Compucast Web's Programming Solutions (including CompuREZ, our booking engine), duly and diligently safeguard and protect the privacy and confidentiality of your personal details (including your credit card details).
This privacy policy applies to all of our services (whether accessed or made available online or through any other platform or device).
Information collection
When you make a reservation or purchase a product/service, you will be asked to complete online forms providing any or all of the following:
This information is required to process and complete your reservation or purchase (including the sending of a confirmation email).
In order to protect and safeguard the personal data provided to these websites, we have implemented appropriate business systems and procedures. For example, your credit card information is transmitted to us through a secure server protocol, which encrypts all of your personal and credit card details. The encryption method used is the industry standard "Secure Socket Layer" (SSL) technology.
Furthermore, all websites use security procedures and technical and physical restrictions for accessing and using personal information: i.e., only authorized employees are permitted to access personal information for performing their duties with respect to your requests. Credit card information can only be retrieved by authorized employees using a private "key" to decrypt and display the data.
Disclosure of personal details
The websites we manage may collect the following information for the following purposes:
Reservations/Orders: For the purposes of completing your transaction--except for disclosures required by law, criminal investigations, subpoenas or court orders--we will only disclose your name, contact details and the credit card details to the relevant hotel/accommodation with which a reservation is made or with whom a purchase is made. Your credit card information is encrypted and stored on a PCI-DSS Compliant Server.
Comment Cards: By completing a reservation, you agree to receive an invitation email from the hotel/accommodation, if they choose, to complete a guest comment form which will be sent to you promptly after your stay. The review can also be completed anonymously. The guest comment will be sent to the hotel/accommodation for its review.
Newsletters: We use third-party distributors that provide certain these services and functions for and on our behalf, such as iContact and Constant Contact. These third-party distributors may have access to (part of your) personal information in order to perform their services and functions, but are subject to a confidentiality obligation and their own privacy policy stating that they cannot use, share or disclose the information for any other purpose. You will be required to "Opt in" to this service. If you later wish to discontinue receipt of newsletters, simply click the "unsubscribe" link.
Website Stats: In order to understand how people use websites, and for marketing analysis for quality improvement purposes, non-personally identifiable data ("Non-PII") is collected from websites we host, such as the total amount of transactions, viewed web pages, referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp information, the (search) words you use, IP address, browser type and Internet Service Provider (ISP), and (for users through a mobile device) Unique Device Identifier, Operating System and Latitude/Longitude. This Non-PII helps track browsing behavior and monitor and record the visits and use of websites. This is not personally identifiable information ("PII"). We do not share any PII with our server providers, and server providers do not collect any PII.
Cookies: Cookies are text files stored on your computer, either temporarily or permanently on your hard drive. Cookies are used for authenticating, session tracking, and maintaining specific information about the use and users of websites, such as contents of electronic shopping carts, reservations data and referring sites. The data collected by these cookies are completely anonymous. Although you can delete cookies that are on your computer's hard drive, please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of many websites. For more information about cookies, please visit: www.allaboutcookies.org.
We are at all times entitled to change the way we collect, transmit and process personal information and such other information as we may deem necessary. This Privacy Statement may therefore be amended from time to time in order to reflect the latest changes.
